i may be auditoning for this show in january at the professional theatre near my house that i have done shows with before and I was wondering how big of a part the childrens roles are. Im 11 my the way and a girl. i was just wondering because if i dont do that i will do a youth theatre summer camp that i have done for 2 years but not last year because of the theatre and it is 3 weeks and then we put on a full staged awesome shows and i have a good chance of getting a lead i dont know just if anyone knows how big of a part it is i would LOVE if you would tell me!!!! thanks!

As for your question, the children's roles are very small. Chances are you would not have an actual character name even. The only children that really gets to speak at all is the King's eldest son and Anna's son. You would get to do some ensemble stuff.

The only one of the female children's roles that has lines is Princess Yin Yaowlak. All the children sing together (no solos).
Musical numbers the children are in are the March of the Siamese Children (where Anna meets the children); The Royal Bangkok Academy; and Getting to Know You.
They are also onstage for the Finale.
