If a remake is in the works...
Who should star?
Although I think the film is a bad idea..it needs a good star.

Alan Rickman for me. I enjoyed him as Snape and a couple of his other works.
He has that "calmness" factor for me, that I think Higgins should have.

Lithgow or Kelsey Grammer.

I like it.
However, I prefer my Higgins younger.

hmm...Don't kill me but what about David Hyde Pierce or Johnny Depp? They'll cast a big name which Rickman sort of is but the rest really aren't.

Pierce is too effeninate and Depp too american and not the type at all.
Jeremy Irons is the biggest name of tem all havin won a Best Actor Oscar and been a major screen star fro 30 years. Rickman would be 2nd in bankability to Irons.

Irons certainly should be more bankable, but I'm not sure if he is.

I would give Jonathan Pryce a shot at it. He isn't as good as Rex, but he wasn't bad in "Hey Mr. Producer".
