I want to sing this song for the Talent show next year (I'm in HS) but would it work? I have a decent belt but would this song be, well, *weird* if it was sung in a soprano voice?

I dunno...it would sound wierd for a soprano to do it I think...I think it sounds best with a guy high bari or tenor...the songs are written for specific voice types, plus it goes low for a soprano, even if up the octave, you could always try it though....sometimes songs work out of the normal range.

A UK lady called Jane McDonald - shes's a mezo I think - did a tidy job of this song. It is on her "In Concert" DVD. I think It's a great song to do.
