Well love, I can tell you that from that list, I'm not so sure I'd waste my time on Niagara. Around Western New York we joke that its the place you go when you know you won't get in anywhere else, since they don't audition to be a theatre major there, and its definitely not a B.F.A., but a B.A. I do know a few people who go there that are quite good and should have spent the time to audition at way better schools, but I would imagine chose to go there because they knew they'd get stage time because competition is less fierce. However I do know quite a good number of people who go there and most likely would not have been accepted into a school where they had to audition to be a musical theatre major. The rest of your list looks wonderful though.

As for music4me's question, most colleges should allow you to double major. I know a lot of people who choose to pair their Theatre degrees with a degree in Public Relations, Arts Administration or even English Education as they are all majors that compliment theatre.

I myself was a performance major who had a double major in music/voice therapy.

oh yes. Niagara is my absolute safety school.
That, and OCC.
I'd rather go to a community college and live at home for a year then transfer then go to a shite school.

Ooo fancy.

Which track are you looking at taking if you were to be accepted? Most people I knew in the MT program took the theatre track, though some went the dance route. Most people opt to not do the music track so as not to take the upper levels of music theory, which are a huge great big pain in the you know what!

How practical is a BFA? Could I use it to get a job outside of theatre? Or would I be better off with a BA? Do you still take general ed courses with a BFA?

Depends on if you're at a conservatory or not. At my university, which WASN'T a conservatory, you still had gen ed requirements and 30 credit hours of non related upper level courses. So you had a B.F.A. but also a bit of a liberal arts degree as well.

Honestly the B.A. at my school was many of the classes that the B.F.A's had to take in regards to behind the scenes things and scene study, but less intensive and they didn't have voice and dance requirements and I think they needed to take more outside of the major courses (aka upper levels and gen ed) for their degree.

I'd just go for the B.F.A. .

I really like Fredonia too, (although college is years away for me,) partially because I'm really not sure if I want to major in Music or Musical Theatre. The music track looks like the exact thing I would want.

Its pretty darn close. The only thing you miss out with is, as a voice performance major you do two recitals, a half hour one in your Junior Year and an hour long one in your Senior year.

With the Music track of musical theatre, you still only get a 25 minute recital that is a combined acting, singing, dancing recital.

However some MT majors there have chosen to do non curricular recitals or to apply for honors recitals, like the non performance crowd does to extend their recital, and end up doing a more classical oriented recital with the wonderful affair of the ballgown/nice suit for the guys hoopla.

AMAZING.

Penn State's senior showcase dress rehearsal.

I adore this.

Penn state just got some brownie points on my short list.
