 age for lola
whats the youngest age for lola? im thinking atleast 16...at youngest.
one version i saw(community theatre), the lola looked about 20 and evryone was admiring her talent...untill they found out she was only 14. then people were sort of angry...but the company couldnt get into much trouble because she only stripped down to a very short skirt, and there was worse in the show.

I think that being Lola ismore about talent than anything else, however, if there is a young Lola, everything should be done at her own discretion depending on how far she is willing to go. However, a Lola should look at least eighteen in my opinion.

Lola shouldnt be younger that early 20s or olcer than late 30s to pull it off properly as far as look and action goes.

I believe it does come down to "talent." As long as the actress is talented enough to pull off the role, and her physical appearance is appropriate it would be done in good taste!

Lola is a WOMAN.
Not a child. A 14 year old Lola is SICKENING.

For a community production I feel Lola should be no younger then 18, and even that is young for a Lola. She's a woman. She should be at least early 20's. Perhaps mid 20's.

A mature looking 22 year-old to a young looking 35 year-old could pull off the part. 18 is risky and 14 is simply ridiculous.

 13
I was Lola in a community theatre play when I was 13. I never stripped and My joe was my best friends boyfriend who is also 13. I was amazing if i do say so myself but my coreography was really easy. Because I'm tall people thought I was sixteen or 17 but most people weren't mad!!

I think it depends on the relative age of the cast. If you have an 12 year old lola with a 30 year old joe and she is striping. I don't know its pushing the limits, then again if the girl's parents don't object? I did it in college so it was a different story everyone was in their late teens and twenties. I've looked through the picture threads in mdn social group. Few us actually look our age.

i have to agree that it entirely depends on the cast & the ability of the actress. i'm 17 & am playing lola (fullerton ca plummer auditorium come see me! ) but i'm also one of the oldest people in my cast... actually i think i AM the oldest lol. im a junior at my highschool & our joe is 16 our meg is 17 & our applegate is 16. i think it all pretty much works out. but i may be a little offended if your joe was 23-25 & your lola was under 16.
