 A few questions for you
I was just listening to the OLCR and I was wondering what happens onstage after the dialogue/singing stops when there's that minute-or-so of music.
Also, where does A Spoonful of Sugar take place?
Oh yeah, and when does Mary Poppins fly over the audience?
I know, lots of questions. More to come. Thanks in advance!

Okay lets see if I remember correctly....
She flies over the audience at the very end on her way out to thunderous applause.
Spoonful of Sugar....oh dear, I don't really remember. Unlike in the movie, this song IMO was overshadowed by some of the other more memorable ones like the possesed toy song, Practically Perfect and then the tapdancing Chim chimmeree
And during what part of the OLCR? I don't know if I can answer that one though (because I'm an idiot and didn't buy the cd before the show started and couldn't fight my way to the crowd to go buy it after)

A spoonful of sugar is sang after the park scene, in the kitchen. Robertson Ay trashes the place, and MAry, the cook and the kids clean it up.
The mum comes in excpecting to find the food prepared for her dinner with her friends, but then the cook reveals that they all cancelled.
The mum sings a brief reprise of the song here as the scene changes behind her.

It's right at the very, very end. After the last line is said, there's about a minute of music. Is that when she flies?

But of course the mother didn't actually send the invitations out to her "friends".
