On what song does Che go highest and what part of the song is it?

I think it depends on what version you listen to.
On Broadway, Mandy Patinkin ascends to an impossibly high C during the "Good Night and Thank You" number.

No one ever agrees with me on this but I really think in the film he's at his best in one of his first numbers, Oh What A Circus. I love the way Antonio Banderas kind of growls it..

^ I'm the first to agree with you on this.
I love Mandy's version, though. Both versions are excellent.
How DOES Mandy hit those high notes, anyway?
Andy.

In general, I though Banderas was ok in the film and his accent added to the film's Latin feel but he's not much of a singer. Patinkin has a distinctive voice but he can sing well.

Colm wilkinson and David Essex hit the highest note Che sings in "Goodnight and Thank you" in "They're HOPeing their lover will..." which probably is a high-C. Patinkin Doesn't do that note. Wilkinson does some other high stuff in the concept recoring.

Actually, I agree too. I first saw the film at age 5 and I hated it at first, I mean, who takes a 5 year old to see Evita? But now, at age 14, I love it! And I love Antonio Banderas! I first saw him in this film, and fell instantly in love! Even at age 5! So, I am a bit biased...

He may do some higher stuff... but it is way too much. I am sorry Wilkinson, is not very good in this recording...as much as Les Mis.

I think Wilkinson was excellent and interesting as Che, I much rather listen to him than Patinkin in the role.

How high Che goes it totally bendable, wiht all the improvs he has to go at least up to a high C, but I could see Che being played with nothing higher than an A flat, just gotta tweak a few of the improvs so they go downward instead of upward.
