Of the three major comic-book movies (Bat-Man, Spider-Man, and the Avengers), the third Bat-Man movie will likely be the weakest. And that's saying something.

I wholeheartedly disagree. Christopher Nolan has consistently produced excellent cinema, Marvel's only good work has been the first two Spider-Mans, and even they were nothing extraordinary. The Amazing Spider-Man does look promising, however. It could very possibly be better than The Avengers.

Only real warning sign with Dark Knight Rises is that it's the third part in a trilogy, aaaaaaand that doesn't tend to fare well, really.

Also, there's no hyphen in "Batman."

I'm going to have to wait for word of mouth on Avengers (plan to see Spidey unless reviews are awful). I was thinking about going just for the TDKR trailer but now that it's already online that's out the window.

Well, Beauty and the Beast wrapped on Sunday. It was a wonderful experience all around. We sold out our entire run and the audiences loved it. I thought I'd have a good time with Cogsworth but did not expect nearly as fulfilling a journey as I ended up having. This was my second time working on the show and I can't wait to return to it.

What next? We'll see!

Word of mouth on the Avengers???

Where have you been?
This was the Early buzz

"The Avengers" just recently had its premiere and the first reviews are coming in. These are not official reviews, but a few Twitter posts about the film from some of those in attendance.

It seems that everyone loved the film and Hulk was the big attraction. Plus, it has also been confirmed that there's a surprise scene after the credits, so make sure not to leave the theater early when the movie hits theaters on May 4th.

FirstShowing: The Avengers - Epic. EPIC! Everyone fights everyone, but it does deliver. Marvel's movies get better every single one. Hulk! HULK!!

BadassDigest: AVENGERS is good enough to make me forgive IRON MAN 2.

AintItCool: THE AVENGERS. Finally, a Marvel film with a rousing finish. That third act is more than enough to make THE AVENGERS the best Marvel movie yet.

SlashFilm: I'd tweet about The Avengers but my body is still recovering from non-stop geeking out. So, so, so much fun (for the most part).

Variety: It's the bomb. I could not possibly say enough. Not a false note. Innovative. BRUTAL. And goddamn funny. Hype = believe it.

SlashFilm (another critic): The Avengers is pretty epic. There is probably more action in this film's climax than all the other Marvel movie combines!

Entertainment Weekly: Just got out of #Avengers premiere. Liked.

GeekDad: So much awesome.

Collider: Absolutely loved THE AVENGERS. Was smiling from beginning to end. Two things that made #THEAVENGERS amazing: the Hulk and the humor. Joss Whedon gets a 10 out of 10 on both of those.

Seth Green: So that was AMAZING. Like, double plus awesome. Thank you Joss Whedon for giving us all the #Avengers movie we deserve.

XXLMag: Just getting out of "The Avengers" world premiere. Thought the film was major. LOT of action, laughs and surprises. Hulk stole the show.

-------------------------------
And this was the later buzz;
‘Marvel’s The Avengers’ earns glowing reviews

'The Avengers' breaks box office records overseas with $178M sales

-----------------------------------------

Nolan will produce his usual quality. But it won't be the draw that he had with his previous movie, which had a lot of great early buzz going for it. And our bad guy, Joker, stole the movie. (He was mesmerising.) Don't have that this time around. I think most realize that Nolan won't make his previous numbers by half. (Of course, that's still a pretty big win for him.)

I'm scared I'm going to do so terribly this year that I'm not going to be able to start my PhD next year. This scares me. I have no other plans.. Uh oh.

Avengers was awsome..alot of fun!

Not so hyped for Batman due to the horrible miscasting of Anne Hathaway. ugh.

then again I wasnt crazy about the first film. only the 2nd film was great in my opinion.

Salome, are you also unimpressed by Anne Hathaway? She doesn't really do anything for me. It's not that she's bad just.... kinda dull. Since Catwoman is one of my favorite comic book characters, I'm a little miffed Nolan cast her. Not sure who would have been a better choice, but she definitely wouldn't be my first :/

Would you elaborate, Dawn? I'm curious as to why you think she was miscast.
