 Re: Musicals that make you happy Hello there, I have so many that make me happy and they change all the time. at the moment I love Singin in the Rain its my fave movie at the moment. such a happy story. I also love Legally Blonde and My fave of all time is the wizard of oz childhood memory's

Re: Musicals that make you happy Anything Goes makes me inordinately happy. I love the effortlessness of Cole Porter's swinging tunes and his champagne-bubbly lyrics. I love the character of Reno Sweeney and the actresses who've played her, and I especially love the overall uncynical goodheartedness of the show. I don't think it's possible for such musicals to even exist anymore without being kinda crappy.
I'm also fond of Carrie. There's something joyful about the badness.

Wicked always makes me happy. Sunset Blvd too but that's only because I have fond memories of it. Sherlock Holmes The Musical too!!

Book of Mormon is lovely too. "Spooky Mormon Hell Dream" never fails to make me laugh.
