Least Favorite song from Above Musical
There's a thread for favorite song, so there should be a thread for least favorite.

Least Favourite Song From [Above Musical]
Brigadoon: "Whining For my Dreary" - oops, sorry, "Waiting For My Dearie". It goes on for too long without being really witty enough or charming enough or anything enough. It's just 'bleh'.

Re: Least Favorite song from Above Musical
Another Autumn. doesnt further the plot...Lerner's lyrics are fine but Fritz's melody is bland.

Least Favourite Song From [Above Musical]
Robert and Elizabeth: I am going to go with "Woman And Man". It is so high that you can never hear the lyrics properly and it degenerates into the sound of a mad wailing soprano, which is rather unsatisfying in the final analysis.

Get me to the church- Sure it has it's place for a musical comedy scene for the character actor...but I never dug the song.

Least Favourite Song From [Above Musical]
Baker Street: "Letters". It just goes on. And on. And on. I'm also not crazy about "I Shall Miss You" or "Pursuit", but that has more to do with the delivery on the OBCR rather than because of the material itself.

The Rothschilds- A very consistent score, but I'll say "I'm in Love! I'm in Love!"

Ordinary Kind of Woman. its rather grating, plus the shift in mood from act one is jarring.

Re: Least Favorite song from Above Musical
I love Cabaret, but I guess "So What." Not that it's bad, I just kind of skip over it every time I listen to it. But it's important to the plot, so I can't complain.
