I am really happy for him, too (and rather confused as to why Samantha Barks did the big announcement...!?), although I still stand by what I said about that part just a couple of pages ago... Hm. But yes, good luck to him. It's going to be a very Les Mis cast then!

I did hear that they are an item now, which would explain it I suppose...still, absolutely none of my business and could very well just be random gossip.
Looking forward to seeing him in Phantom anyway. Take your point about the part of Raoul, but I thought Thaxton really did a lot with the pretty weak role in LND, so hoping for similar from Killian.

I don't know if he counts as a "Les Mis Alumni", I most certainly hope not, but it seems like dear old Nick Jonas is going on to his next theatre extravaganza. Link Larkin. Hairspray. Hollywood Bowl.

Emily Bull is going to be in the Chichester Revival of Sweeney Todd (alongside other Les Mis alumni, Michael Ball of course, and Peter Polycarpou) in the chorus (Soprano 1) and Joe Evans is going to be part of the Dirty Dancing tour as Neil Kellerman. :)

There's something about Jonathan Williams in some celebration with Kerry Ellis, and of course, the video where he was rehearsing My Land's Shore. Anyone know anything about that?

Just a very quick post to say that I have just seen Killian as Raoul in POTO and really enjoyed it. Not much of a part, I suppose, but he is vocally very strong and seemed to be trying to inject some passion into the character. Well worth seeing I thought.
Only slight criticism - dancing rather stiff and wooden...or was he maybe dancing in character?!

I have to post that David Thaxton's band, Unborn Twin, have just released their first EP, entitle Distort and Merge. It's available for purchase on iTunes and it is awesome!

You mean the "Masquerade" dancing?

It's the choreography and not Killian, I'm sure. The choreography for what little he dances is by nature very stiff and wooden. I've always gotten a sense of it being very doll-like, marionette (sp?), puppet-like. As if to suggest they are being controlled by some ghost, hehe.
