Re: CamMack confirms Les Mis movie AND live filming Cameron has made millions from being a 'big tease' and while that makes for a successful producer, those of us who know him better by now barely flinch at this type of news.
I remember once when I attended a performance and squeed like a schoolgirl at the "SHE WILL BE GOING TO THE CINEMA" ad inside my just-bought souvenir brochure.
That was in February, 1991.

Re: CamMack confirms Les Mis movie AND live filming Agreed. This thing has been stuck in development hell for so long that I would remain wary of anything until a trailer is released. There have been no names attached to this alleged production, no actors, no director, no screenwriter. Until such information starts filtering out, this announcement has about as much weight as the ads Quique mentioned. (I know I have that same ad somewhere in one of my brochures that seems to have fallen off the planet!) Wasn't Alan Parker the name attached to that version way back then? I'm kind of grateful that didn't happen...
In purely speculative news, while I'm sure it would raise the ire of many, I'd love to see what someone like Terry Gilliam would do with the material.
