Can anyone who is more familiar with the show than I am (I've only seen the movie and read about it online) tell me for each character what their range is (like C-G not just sop/alto) and whether they need dancing? I'm thinking it could be a good show for my school next year...

I don't have the score with me, but this is what I can remember:

Enoch Snow is from a low E (I think) to high B-Flat (I know- It's killer). Definitely a tenor's part, although when my theatre group did it, a baritone pulled it off by using the not ideal strategy of switching to falsetto for the high parts.

Billy Bigelow is slightly lower, only going up to the high G. This could be played by a baritone or tenor.

Carrie is a good part for a mezzo-soprano or alto.

Julie is definitely a soprano part.
