Post Costume Resources
I'm directing this fantabulous show for a high school right now. Things are going incredibly well, except that my costume resource seems to be coming up short. I had a volunteer to make the costumes, but she's incredibly overwhelmed and we've only got a month and a half before our show goes up. Do you guys have any ideas on where to get good costumes on a budget? We're pretty broke, so any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I say check out the bargain bins at the fabric/craft stores and harness the cast into helping with the costumes. Even if they can't sew, they should be able to cut things out. If all else fails, try to wrangle the Home Ec. sewing classes into helping.

Ask around at other high schools and nearby colleges. Medieval costumes are pretty common and you might be able to borrow some.

The SCA (Society for Creative Anachronisms) are all over the country. They're a Midieval group.Or your local Ren Faire organizers. Go to http://www.sca.org/ and see if there's a group near by. Offer free tickets to people willing to lend you their costumes.

Speaking of medieval costumes, that's really an awesome costume.
