I love reading other people's youtube fights when they are arguing with people who know literally nothing about their subject
Because I'm just that cool

"HEY PHANTOM IS AN ITALIAN HORROR FILM RIGHT?!"
I could have died.
And there are the regular "Gerard Butler is hot" ones. Did I also forget to mention in addition to his supposed hotness, he can't really sing half as well as Crawford?

From Youtube: "MIchael Jackson would have made a phenomenol Phantom. His voice, filled with so much, would have made him the epitome of the role."
I'm still laughing, yet shuddering at the thought...

Ha...I remember when there were legit news stories in the early 90s talking about the possibility of making the movie with Jacko. Even then, I didn't like the idea!

Haha I was telling my friend who claims she's a music expert about that. Her reply? "OMG yeah that's true! He would make a great phantom because he's so powerful."
I nearly died.

Argento made anpther (apparantly much better) film called simply Opera.
And Michael Crawford isn't that great IMO...Colm Wilkinson forever! XD Along with a bunch of other fine actors, including the late great Steve Barton, Hugh Panaro, John Cudia etc.

In defense of Jackson... the role was definitely within his range (pop stylings, choreography, and random noises stuck in your head or not), and who better would know about being misunderstood, at least if you buy his publicity line? To say nothing of the fact that the punchline speaks for itself: Christine takes off the mask and he doesn't even need make-up. "AHHHHH!"
