 Kerry Ellis as Nancy? There are some rumours floating around that Kerry will be taking over from Jodie Prenger as Nancy in Oliver! come December when Jodie's contract's up. I just wondered if anyone's heard anything to the contrary, or has anything to substantiate said rumour?
She has said she'd always love to play Nancy, and being in Oliver! take her back to the theatre where she made her West End debut... but who knows?
I really hope this is the right place to put this and not in the Oliver! forum

Damn right!!! Although I'm going to miss Jodie Prenger, I think Kerry will do a fantastic job! Who knows, she may end up doing Oliver! In Rock, like she did Wicked In Rock... what?

One of my friends has a role in Oliver in the west end, she started last week when all the new cast started. Jodie is still there at the moment and enjoyed her last shows by the sounds of it! We're waiting until Kerry is in it to go and see it, as we have seen Jodie in action before. I can't wait! when my friend found out she would be working with Kerry we were so excited as big Kerry fans! Kerry will be fab but I am wondering what she will be like, I have her in my mind as Elphie still!

Hopefully she'll be great.
I really didnt like Jodie's Nancy. I went to see her just before I did oliver!, I loved her on the show and I was so hoping she'd be amazing and was totally let down by the whole thing.

Really?! What didn't you like about her? I only have the cast recording to judge by, but godDAMN, she's brilliant on it! I'm literally SHOCKED you didn't like her. Explain!

She didn't get stuck, exactly. She accidently elbowed the button that signals the lift to rise, and her cape got stuck. She screamed for it to stop, and after about five seconds, the curtain closed and the music stopped. Within ten minutes, the curtain was opened, and Kerry sang again, this time on the ground, rather than on the lift. I've heard it was quite terrifying. There is an audio on YouTube, but it's honestly a bit in poor taste to listen to, if you ask me.
