I'll post some dot points.
*anthropologists believe slavery has existed since the existence of people.
*mass slavery goes to biblical times, note the Israelites and Thessolonians (sp?)- may not be considered slavery by all
*In ancient societies slaves were captured in battle and were treated like domestic servants
* (don't quote me) In Roman Arena unwanted orphans and illegitimate children often sold into slavery.
* "Ness Evil/ Ultimate good" Af-Amc. slavery said to be the worst in history
*still exists
*I hope I didn't do your homework for you

Slavery came into existence in the earliest civilization. Which is ironic. Confused

Slavery based on race didn't really come into being until the colonialism of the 1600s and 1700s and the United States was one of the last countries to outlaw slavery.

Human Trafficking is a completely different story and exists all over the world without exception. It is extremely common in Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe.

Also, not all slavery involves force. Some people choose to become slaves for various reasons. This has been more true in other times than it is currently.

Not exactly.

Helots

Penestae

Aristotle declared all non-Greeks slaves by birth, fit for nothing but obedience.

And this just touches upon the Mediterranean. There are an unfortunate amount of examples of racial slavery throughout history.

The US is the only country that has received the most press.

Neutral

And, for that matter, the Jews in Egypt.

This is true.

Perhaps still in the more 'old-fashioned' definition of slavery (i.e. forced), but there are also cases where people choose to be enslaved, and happily live like that. A good example of this is the Gorean lifestyle, explained briefly here.
