First of all, Evita is much less vocally challenging than JCS. Secondly, if you think you're college can't do a sung-through show, than you're theater department probably isn't so hot. And thirdly, I think Evita is doable in High School, so yes I think it's doable in college. All you need is a fantastic female lead.

Doing Evita successfully requires an outstanding Evita, a talented Che, and a spectacular pit.

Especially as the musicianship expectations will have been taken up a notch by the film. Also - to anyone balancing the sound in the pit into FOH, please keep the bass high in the mix..

Were doing Evita at the moment in my College and i play Eva. Its totally doable. We all love it!
Were also doing chicago yet Eva was the role everyone wanted. Some of us find it a struggle but were having so much fun!
We have fantastic male leads and i get on with them great.
I think as long as you have a great cast and a great band its doable!!
