I think Alan Rickman would be best, although Johnathan Pryce played the role opposite Martine McCutchen, i think Rickman would definately be better

Remakes are more often than not disasters compared to the originals. I for one will be giving any MFL remake a pass.

The Pryce revival was a disaster. mostly because of Mccutcheon. but Pryce wasnt near as good as he should have been.

It might just be from seeing him in Harry Potter and Sweeney Todd, but i have trouble seeing Alan Rickman playing characters that aren't snide, malcontent and cynical. I have trouble picturing him as Higgins, but i suppose that doesn't mean he doesn't have the ability to play him.

I love Alan Rickman. I'd want to see him in the role.

Even though I think they've already picked someone, I think David Warner could have done a good job.

Warner would have been good 20 years ago. he's too old now for the role.

Pryce was all wrong and would not be good for the movie.

I can't see any of the above mentioned names be even 50% as good as Rex Harrison to be honest. I think it needs to be an English actor for sure.

Too bad Gambon is too old...
