Ah yeah she did in the "rock" version. But when I saw her in... March she pronounced her T's. Maybe she changed when she went to Broadway?

She's been taking lessons from Patti LuPone.

In my opinion, the book is the most outstanding flaw in the musical's creation. I find it very disconcerting that Holzman is already signed on as one of, if not the writer of the screenplay.
EDIT: I mean book as in the play of the musical, not as in the novel (though I didn't particularly care for either)

Im reading over the book again because i forgot a lot and I thought about this and it would probably be a good idea to do the movie about the book since the musical was about.. well.. the musical. I love the musical but i probably dont want to see the movie exactly like the musical but it will prbably because Winie Holzmen is the screenwriter which sucks!

I am going to veer this away from another who's going to play elphaba in the movie thread. I am shocked to see that not many people know about Marc Platt. If you consider yourself true fans of the show (not just the cast) you should know that he is the guy, from Universal Studios (who are the main investors of Wicked) that is the main producer.
So, in effect - it's the same producers who've done the stage show bringing it to the big screen. Except it'll be a hollywood version - and they probably won't have many of the broadway creative talent involved - as that's the way it works in hollywood now.

Christopher Walken as the Wizard?
I LOVE IT!
I saw somebody suggest Zac Efron for Fiyero once. At first, I was horrified...but then I thought about it, and his performance in Hairspray wasn't horrible, so he might be able to pull it off.
I just hope they don't do to Wicked what they did to Hairspray and cast every teen idol in the leads.
I can see it now:
Miley Cyrus as Elphaba!
Ashley Tisdale as Glinda!
Zac Efron as Fiyero!
Nick Jonas as Boq!
Selena Gomez as Nessa!
Dear, God, that's how it'd be if Disney Channel made it.

If this ever happens it's going to use well-known names for the roles. Chances are not high that it will have unknowns because the cost of this thing is going to be huge and if it sucks because of some unknown then they will stand to loose a great deal of money.
I also doubt that many of the OBC will be in it if only because they have now aged substantially and it gets harder to look like a teenager with each year. The only members of the OBC that really have a shot would be Joel Grey (who seriously could end up being the wizard as he is a pretty well-known film actor as well as a stage actor) and Carole Shelly...but they will probably get a big star to be Morrible as it wouldn't take a whole lot of time to play her part, it would bring people in, and whoever did it would get a big check.
Another thing to remember is that the acting will really be crucial in this because when a specticle show becomes a film, the specticle goes away. Her flying in Defying Gravity is not going to have the same affect as we have become used to seeing this stuff in movies. In The Phantom of the Opera film, it seems they relied too much on sets and such to help it like it does in the show to wow the audience...and that didn't happen at all. If ever a Les Miserables film is made, they could rely on the three minutes of bringing out the barricade to wow the audience...because that wouldn't be impressive on film at all...it would drag like dead body being pulled by a murderer.
This whole project will have to be done very very carefully.

I agree. Just thinking about how cheesy "Defying gravity" may look is making me cringe!

You realize that, unless the director is a complete idiot, DG will look absolutely nothing like it does on stage. No expanding dress,no random broom-waving levitation. She's actually going to fly and escape. It'll be an action sequence.
