Post The Wizard and I/So much better-esque male songs
Hello everybody :)!

I personally love songs such as "The Wizard and I" from Wicked and "So much better" from Legally Blonde, and would love to use similar male songs for auditions. But I have had a hard time finding anyone.

I recently used "Corner of the sky", which I love, but would like something with the same feeling less overdone, and maybe abit more challenging.

Can anyone help me? I'm a tenor btw, so they should be good for a tenor range.

Well, for contemporary big belty male songs I would have to say almost anything that Aaron Tveit sings. So all of his stuff from Next to Normal would be game, especially the "I'm Alive" and "I'm Alive (Reprise)", although it's safe to say that the songs could be overdone. If you're wanting to go a little less mainstream I'd say that some good choices would be the songs from BARE: A Pop Opera, because both male leads in that show are tenors, and I think it still has the contemporary thing going for it, that you seemed to be leaning towards. I don't know, I could possibly be being absolutely no help here, but I'm hoping you maybe find a song somewhere from all this.
