 Wizard of Oz audition (Dorothy Gale, two song choices!!) Hey, guys! Haven't been on in awhile, but I have an audition for The Wizard of Oz this summer and am thinking about singing: "Home" from Beauty and the Beast, or "Astonishing" from Little Women.
I am only taking my 16 bars from one of these and the parts I am taking match Dorothy EXACTLY!!! But...I can't choose!! Help! Which one do you think would be better???

Re: Wizard of Oz audition (Dorothy Gale, two song choices!!) If you have the time to learn a new song, I'd really go with something from an older generation of musical theater- something pre-1970. Rodgers and Hammerstein, Rodgers and Hart, Bock and Harnick, etc. Perhaps something like "Far From the home I Love" from Fiddler, or "It Might as Well Be Spring" from State Fair.... something like that.
