Not sure why this topic was deleted the first time I posted it, but here we go again. EDIT: Just read the announcement, so never mind! I get it now. =)

I'm auditioning for Zombie Prom (kind of like Grease, but twisted, parody-ish) on the 14th. The character is Delilah Strict (who is true to her name, very no-nonsense, late 30s/early 40s, the principal of the school), and she is a mezzo belter. I need a song in that range with a 50s influence. I was thinking 'Miss Baltimore Crabs' from Hairspray, but I'm not too sure. Any other ideas would be very welcome!

I don't know much about the show you're auditioning for but my gut-reaction what that you should do something from "return to the forbidden planet". the songs are very short in comparaison to other broadway songs, and they are in the right style, and they are lively and funny

I recommend "teenager in love" or "robot man" and you could amp-up the unhappy and harsh-nesses in them
