It's back to work for me. It's time to start getting REALLY serious about this.
I've found another WONDERFUL website resource.
http://www.backstage.com/bso/career_...ning/index.jsp
the entire career advice section I've found to be very helpful.
I'm setting a deadline for myself to finish my bullet-point facts sheet by one month from today. That way I can finalize my List of schools to audition for and REALLY start getting in depth, and working on organizing auditions and geting material.
Another thing I've begun to work on is my own personal improvement. I've dedicated a page in my college notebook to little things I'd like to work on before auditioning.. ex. getting in shape, triple pirouettes, working on my vocal placement issue, reading acting books.. Just really honing my craft and doing everything I can to turn myself into a true triple threat.
I'll also be getting a job soon.. meaning I'm going to start saving for all of my trips for auditions.
I'm really considering Unifieds, have any of you experienced those before?
I'm so ready for highschool to be done with... I need to get serious about this.

We're really low on Canadians here, but does anyone know anything about the Capilano College (north Van) Musical Theatre program? I've got my audition there in two weeks, but I admit I have no idea what to expect from the program. They don't really talk about how much experience or skill you have to have, or how many people they accept, ot anything like that. It was my second choice school, but my first choice already rejected me, and I'm still waiting to hear from my third choice. So, anybody have any information whatsoever on this program?

I plan to do a lot of this stuff, too. Step One: I'm getting a job at Borders. YEAH!
...do you guys want to start a Yahoo! group for people applying to a college and plan to study theatre/musical theatre?

dear how old are you? I always thought you were WAY older.
..but sure, I'd love another group!
ps. I decided to shorten my deadline for finishing my general overview of the 21 schools on my list to may 1st. It seems to be going much faster than I'd thought.

Syrso2yrsAgo, you and I are in the same boat! I've been compiling a list of top theatre schools that I'm interested in, and some basic facts about each of them. In fact, a ton of the schools you have listed are on my list too.
I live in Missouri, so our 'popular' theatre schools are Webster Conservatory and Stephens College. Does anyone know anything about either of these schools?
And also, my forte is voice, followed by acting. Does anyone know which schools are particularly strong in those fields? I'll try and post my list up here soon!

I never considered Canada! I live pretty close so I could probably go there. The only problem would be : the metric system and canadian money.
