The Story of My Life
Okay so basically, this is a really little-known gem. It closed after five performances on Broadway in 2009 but it's a really, really great show. Seriously, I'm thinking it might be top 10 of the decade material for me. It's just a beautiful, small story about a ruined best friendship. A really terrific score from newcomer Neil Bartram (REMEMBER HIS NAME), and a cast album with two superb central performances. Please, everybody, listen to this show.
This might be my favorite song in the show, The Butterfly.

I think this is a wonderful little musical. I saw it two years ago and loved it. Heartbreakingly lovely.

I'm an idiot. This was running at the Minneapolis Musical Theater, ending on the 25th of last month. I didn't think it was my kind of thing. I wish I had gone to see it now. Lesson learned! ....see something even when you have no clue about it....you might end up liking it.
