How would you build the plant? Isn't it a puppet?

you can rent the blue prints to build the 3 sizes of Audrey II needed for the show.

Yes, but "build"? I don't understand, what materials is it made out of?

I figured....."build" just seemed like the wrong word to use. But okay.

Re: Musicals that are or aren't appropriate for high schools
Getting back to the original topic, some parents are so conservative that they could find something objectionable in just about any musical. Even Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has the scene with Potiphar's wife. The only shows I can think of that are so clean that no sane person could find anything objectionable in them whatsoever are Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and High School Musical.

I think this may be why my daughter has decided to direct a cabaret each fall at the high school where she teaches. It allows her to choose her favorite songs from more current musicals.

That's actually a really good idea. It's probably a lot less of a hassle not having to worry about licensing and stage craft and what have you.

Re: Musicals that are or aren't appropriate for high schools
A lot of musicals have adult themes in them. Fame has drug themes, Grease has teen pregnancy themes, hell - even Oliver! has Bill physically abusing the hell out of Nancy to the point where she dies. It really depends on the school.

Agreed...community standards are a tricky thing...it only takes one loud voice in opposition to sound like an army of dissent...
