 King Richard I just found out about a failed ALW musical called "King Richard", and that some melodies from the show were re-used with new lyrics for JCS. Can anyone tell me more about this musical?

Re: King Richard I believe the emphasis was changed to Richard's minstrel, Blondel, which Tim Rice wrote a musical about. I don't remember the name of the composer. I think it's very fun, reminiscent og Joseph, but with less accessible tunes.

Re: King Richard I've heard one or two tunes from Blondel and rather liked them...especially Nikki Renee Daniels singing "Running Back For More." It was indeed originally conceived as a project with Rice and Lloyd Webber, but nothing came of it.
