I just finished performing in Anne of Green Gables, the musical version. Not only did we have the blessing of smooth shows and packed theaters almost every night, but we also worked with the original Anne in this version and Don Harron, author of the book.
The whole cast is sick of the music and some of it (Miss Stacy's, in particular), it rather grating, but in general I think this show is seriously lacking love. The book isn't half bad and quite a few of the songs are really charming or affecting.
Has anyone else seen/been involved in a production of AGG a musical? What are your thoughts on it?
