That's pretty awesome. I hope Bogess takes "Ich", I tin she'd do a good job of it, but I'm realy curious about the contenders for Maxim and Danvers. Hugh Panaro wouldn't be a bad choice, despite having the bad karma of Lestat behind him...and I would just die of glee if Pia agreed to do do Danvers over there. She would totally own it IMO...:)

Ok, so they have announced the two leads for Stuttgart.
Lucy Scherer singing Zeit in einer Flasche:

Thomas Borchert singing Gott, warum?:

I've got to say, I'm as unimpressed with him as ever.

Who's going to be Danvers, though?

I do adore Lucy Scherer, she sounds like she's shaping up to be the best Ich ever.

You know, I hadn't realized until now, but Thomas Borchert looks a lot like Michael Ignatieff, a politician here in Canada. That's... unnerving. :?

Strange - I was kind of irritated by Lucy Scherer's "Look, I'm making this my own!!!11" performance, and Thomas Borchert was more of a "Eh, he's alright" for me. It's funny that they were once in Tanz der Vampire together as Sarah and Krolock :D
I'm sooo excited that this is actually going to be performed in Germany - I hope it stays a little longer, till next fall, so I can actually see this (I'm currently volunteering in Bulgaria). And Pia flippin' Douwes will be Mrs. Danvers!!!!11 I literally gasped when I saw this. [/shameless fangirling]

I completely forgot Pia was going to be Danvers. ROCKING

I adore Lucy, no matter what she does, but I can see some of the showboating... :/ What can you do, she's advertising her show.

I'm so excited about Pia playing Danvers. I already thought she'd pretty much retired from performing, considering she said she'd never play Elisabeth again ( :( ).

And yeah, the showboating makes absolutely no sense for Ich. For Lucy, yes, but Ich is -- especially at the point when she sings that song -- just a nice girl who's always overlooked, who doesn't like to be in the center of attention... unlike, for example, Mrs van Hopper  But let's hope that this was Lucy singing here, not her interpretation of Ich. I mean, I can't imagine Ich being all, "Look at me, I'm bland and boring and bookish" at the very beginning if Lucy plays her the Glinda way (I saw her as Glinda in Stuttgart in 2008; she was awesome). We'll see :-k

It just seems so out of character that one has to assume it's Lucy singing and not Ich.

I think it's great that she can play Glinda, and then the faux-innocent sex kitten Lulu before turning to someone genuinely virginal and innocent.

Hand aufs Herz, a German soap opera. Which was surprisingly good and Lucy gained lots and lots of new fans with this role. Never heard of the worlwide Jemma-hype? It even reached Mexico, Canada, Australia, USA... I normally hate this kind of tv, but I loved this show, or this storyline in it! Lovely! ;)

I can't say I've ever heard about it. I'll certainly look around for it if Lucy Scherer's in it. :D

Out of curiosity, has anyone seen the BBC television production of Rebecca? Apparently it had Jeremy Brett as Maxim, which sounds very promising indeed.
