Re: Elisabeth
Some of the tour cast has been published. Mark Seibert will play Death, Kurosch Abbasi will play Lucheni, and Dennis Kozeluh will be Max. And was already public, Annemieke as Elisabeth. No word yet on the rest of the main roles.

Re: Elisabeth
Mark Seibert as Tod? That ought to be interesting. I've only seen him as Fiyero in Wicked once and can't really imagine him being all, "Elisabeth... sei nicht verzweifelt..." We'll see (hopefully).

Re: Elisabeth
I was hoping for Mark Seibert as Tod for months... So I'm really happy with it! I think he can play it very well (but I think he has to do it in Máté style), and (that's a more egoistical reason ) I don't have to travel to Berlin to see WWRY (which I don't even like) to see him . Essen and Cologne aren't that far... (and it's not that I don't want to travel, I drive to Stuttgart for the guy... the problem is WWRY at the moment ) I don't know Kurosch Abbasi at all....

Re: Elisabeth
I'm not a Mark Seibert fan at all, but I also confess I don't know his recent work at all, I mainly just dislike his Tybalt and am not fond of his voice on the Wicked recording, so he's not someone I've paid any attention to in the recent years. So I can't really say if he's someone I would now enjoy in the role. I suppose I'll wait until there are some sound/video clips with him and see what I think then.
Let's say that apart from Annemieke, the cast so far doesn't induce me to do any ticket-buying. I suppose I'll wait and see who gets cast as Rudolf.
I have the impression nobody knows Kurosch Abbasi. Not necessarily a bad thing, unknown names may also turn out very good.

Yes, I want to see Maté's style, in der Tod again. I found two videos of the new production. Mark has something rock style in its interpretation and Kurosch Abbasi has some Serkan, see it and hear it for yourselves::
On the other hand, Maté is part of the staging of Mitsuko in Japan, here some pictures:

Re: Elisabeth
Yeah well... let's say there are a couple of people I'm not objective about, and Mark is one of them (so don't take my opinion for granted). This will be expensive, I'm afraid . But I've heard him live last februari, and I thought he sounded way better than on his cd (which I already liked very much). But I've never heard him sing anything from Elisabeth... *is hoping he'll sing something during his concert in september*
I don't know anyone who knows Kurosch Abbasi... We'll see! Curious about who he is and what he can to! And no, it doesn't have to be a bad thing at all.
I can't see the second clip Ivy? But the first one is Máté who is singing, not Mark. I've never heard any material of him as der Tod... it can exist, but I think I've heard a lot from him...

Re: Elisabeth
Wasn't he first cast Death for some time? Kind of surprising he should go back to being Rudolf and understudy Death, but... I guess he needs a job, too.

Re: Elisabeth
Yes, he was first cast Death last tour, so I was surprised too... He'll probably have some guarantees about how often he can play Death? (Mark will play "only" 7 out of 8 shows a week, according to his newsletter, and has to finish WWRY first, and has some concerts with his Musical Tenors project). But yes, he probably needed a job

Re: Elisabeth
There are some more cast details here: http://www.labellemusical.de/elisabeth_darsteller.html Funnily, not all that have been announced elsewhere, but some others. For example Ann Christine Elverum as cover Elisabeth, Sophie and Ludovika/Frau Wolf. And Linda Konrad will also be a cover Sophie (not first cast).

Re: Elisabeth
I'm so surprised that Oliver Arno has been somewhat demoted to the role of Rudolf! Is there a particular reason for this?
Also, a bit of footage for Mate Kamaras (singing in Japanese[!]) and Aran Kei in Mitsuko. I didn't think that this would happen, given the earthquake and tsunami, but it looks like the show went on:
