I used to have this musical on VHS that I LOVED, but it got lost when we moved. I wanted to use it for a musical study, because it has one song in it I find hilarious, only now I can't remember the name of it! Can anyone help me?

First thing I remember is the cover. It has the title at the top, and then the three main characters underneath, one lady and two men. I think it's set in the 50s, so imagine suits and pretty dresses (I think it was blue as well!)

The song that I remember was about halfway through the movie. It was the two men, and there was some sort of gala or ball on. They were in a side room, having a drink, and they start singing and dancing about the stars and "Venus or Mars" or something. I remember at the end of the song they leave the room for a brief second and go back in, before actually leaving.

If this helps, I remember the house was large, with a swimming pool!

High Society. (1956) Cole Porter's musical version of The philadephia Story. it starred Big Crosby,Frank SInatra and Grace Kelly. It was Grace's last film befor she married Prince Rainer of monaco.the song you mentioned is one of Cle Porter's greatest numbers ..its called 'Well dID You Evah" and was originally in the show 'DuBarry Was a Lady". when looking for a good song for Crosby and Sinatra to sing in "High Society", Porter revamped the song for the 2 crooners.

its a great film and it was later turned into a stage musical in the 1990s.
