The issue of Minors and Halloween costumes!

What do I think about the issue of Minors dressing too suggestively on Halloween?
* I believe that kids should be able to dress as suggestively as they wish to do, and to show as much skin as they wish to show, weather they're at a school, or walking down a dark street for some annual Trick-Or-Treat fun! Why would anybody want to censor a child in America? 20%  20%  [ 1 ]
* The very idea of a kid being "sexy" at a school Halloween party makes my stomach turn over! Why can't EVERY school have a responsible Halloween Dress Code, and why can't EVERY inappropriately-dressed kid be sent home for an outfit change, even IF their parents complain about "stifled creativity"? 40%  40%  [ 2 ]
* I think that children who are allowed to dress in an inappropriate way at a school, OR on All Hallow's Eve, are being allowed to put themselves in danger, because they are being allowed to become pedophile magnets! Those parents who support inappropriate costumes are saying, "Devour my kid, local sex offender types!", and that kind of thinking is just sick! 0%  0%  [ 0 ]
* Why should schools allow Halloween parties, anyway? The costumes, the candy, and the partying spirit, should be confined to the neighborhoods of the kids. 20%  20%  [ 1 ]
* I don't really understand why ANY holiday has to be celebrated in ANY school, whatsoever! The educational institution was created so that a kid could LEARN, and NOT so that they could parade about, flashing either a costume OR skin, while being distracted by the spirit of some darned holiday or another! 20%  20%  [ 1 ]

Post The issue of Minors and Halloween costumes!
Dear Musicals.Net Posters,

Halloween is almost upon us, so...what do you think of the issue of Minors (Kids whoare 17 and under) wearing Halloween costumes that are too suggestive when they go to school for the annual Halloween party? Do you think that schools ought to enforce a Halloween dress code, even though tartily-dressed moms may complain about "those stupid educators who try to censor expressive kids"? Do you believe that moms and dads who dress too suggestively encourage their kids to follow suit? Do you believe that teachers, some parents, and some older siblings, have a right to be angry with kids, and with parents, who show up on the school grounds looking inappropriate? Should Halloween be celebrated in schools at all, and, for that matter, should ANY holiday get classroom party time?

Feel free to participate in the poll, and to express your thoughts (appropriately, of course), with regards to this issue.

Thank you in advance for your replies.

Halloween shouldn't be celebrated beyond elementry school. After that, it should be more of a neighborhood thing. Whilst I may not have an opinion specificaly on what others wear on Halloween, there probably should be a limit on minors.

Yes, Halloween isn't really celebrated in high schools. We just either dressed up, or didn't. Otherwise, it was all about the party that night at said person's house with keg....

Here, here! I am proud that my 18 year old daughter that has gone away to college thinks that her friends that want to "dress down" (translation - slutty) for Halloween are acting in a very immature fashion. She wants to get together with a few friends and dress up like a box of M&Ms and party sober. Color me a proud papa.
