Re: Random Facts Thread Part 10 We have a houseful of people here. I thought for once I'd get out and be social and play Apples to Apples with everyone. Then I realized none of the people I was playing with had heard of Audrey Hepburn or Meryl Streep. I quit and returned to my room to watch musicals.

Re: Random Facts Thread Part 10 I just spent my New Year's Eve working on knitting my first sweater (it's massively cabled and gorgeous), largely alone -- my parents took my little sister to the ER around 10:20 pm. She had all four wisdom teeth removed yesterday, and now her face is MASSIVELY swollen and she has a fever and some sort of infection. They put her on a broad spectrum antibiotic. She's home now, but first thing tomorrow we're going back to the oral surgeon. "Happy New Year! Here are the fruits of your labor! Now fix it." I feel so bad for the poor thing. She doesn't have a very good pain tolerance at the best of times, so I'm just hoping she doesn't get a dry socket to compound the misery. I had a dry socket when I had my wisdom teeth out a couple months ago, and it was the worst pain I've felt in my life. Including recovering from a massive back surgery that fused titanium to my spine.
Wisdom teeth suck.

Re: Random Facts Thread Part 10 At midnight, my sister's boyfriend's sister and I wished each other a happy Saturday, played some Just Dance 2 and Dance on Broadway, and then she went home and I went to bed. I didn't kiss anyone or let off fireworks, as I don't have anyone to kiss and I'm not really into fireworks. Today I will probably not do anything interesting. Watching Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants at the moment; might go trade some doubled gifts later. I'm so boring.
