So we had our first table read of Arcadia last...and I would like to go on record as stating that Tom Stoppard may be the most brilliant playwrite of any era! I have never read a more complex, multi-layered...humorous and intelligent script in my career!

I'm so jealous, Patch! I would love to do Arcadia. It breaks my heart a little bit that I'm too old to play Thomasina now.

For what it's worth, our Thomasina is being played by a 24 year old. Who REALLY doesn't look 13...unless she's supposed to be a very..."healthy" 13. lol

Haha! Thanks :) I can still hope!

Anyway, I hope you have a great time with the show -- wish I could see it! Do keep us posted :)

Brian Stokes Mitchell was charming, funny, and extremely talkative. Not so much swooningly sexy in real life...kind of like your normal everyday husband/father/neighbor. The mustache is not pencil thin, but definitely the gigolo or Western bad guy type... kind of Doc Holliday or bad Ricardo Montalban character. The concert was sweet, and included a sing along, so I can truthfully say I once sang with Brian Stokes Mitchell! A lovely Christmas pasttime.

Well, no word from the Lyric Opera on my audition.

Bummer. That makes it the second time in a row I haven't been called back. Or third, seeing how I was auditioning for two shows.

Ahaha. Phenomenal.

I am never running outdoors in below-30 weather again. My lungs still hurt.

Something awesome happened today. . . . .

I was talking to some ladies at work (I work at a book store) about "Finishing the Hat" and how I wanted it but couldnt really justify $40 on it because I needed to pay an audition fee. When I went on luch, my boss told me to look on my shelf for a present from a "Secret santa". One of the ladies bought me the book. :D

I'm sorry to hear that, Tori. :S

I was gonna make these little stuffed animal owls (It's an inside joke.) to give as Christmas gifts; turns out I just produced some really excellent socks.
