Review the last Movie you Saw thread...
Subject is clear. Doesn't have to be in the movie theater, can be a rental or on tv...
The House Bunny- Hilarious! I highly recommend it. Ana Faris is so good in this movie, and sure the plot isn't anything special, but I was entertained and laughing all throughout the movie.

Vicky Christina Barcelona (2008), Rebecca Hall became one of my new favorite actresses after seeing this film. Scarlett Johansson was better in Scoop, imo. Javier Bardem is absolutely gorgeous and Penelope Cruz makes the second half of the film absolutely hilarious. Spain offers a beautiful backdrop and the cinematography captures it oh so well.
Hard Candy (2005), okay, so this film isn't in theatres. I rented it on DVD. It stars Ellen Page (of Juno fame) as a young girl who decides to meet this guy (Patrick Wilson, i think) off the internet. It turns out he is (obviously a child molester). I don't want to give too much away, but it becomes this dark and eery Home Alone. It's such a good movie! Highly recommended.

Agreed 100%. I loved that movie so much. I was constantly laughing throughout the entire movie. And I thought that it was gonna be like they put all the funny jokes/gags in the commercial -- not so. The movie was very well made. My only complaint was in the commercial when she steps over the manhole and is like "GOD THAT IS FRIGGIN' HOT!!!!" well in the movie it's "GOD THAT IS ---- HOT!!!" which is not nearly as funny as friggin'.

Becoming Jane
Very sad. Anne Hathaway's Jane wasn't particularly endearing, and was kind of flat sometimes, but James McAvoy's Tom Lefroy was... wow.
It was a good movie in general, and I loved seeing Max from Across the Universe in it!
It was also cool how you it had the people in her life who had possibly inspired some of her characters.

I saw Tropic Thunder last night. I thought it was a very clever satire on Holywood and war movies. Very well-written and well-acted. I highly recommend it if you can stand vulgar humor.

so ive been watching lots of on demand w/ my mom cuz she just had surgery so. here goes.
No Reservations - i wanna kiss catharine zeta-jones. shes so great. the movie was pretty dumb and really predictable, but she does have a great makeout scene w/ aaron eckhart and i love him. he is darling in it, too.
21 - kevin spacey was brilliant. the story was interesting and had a few plot twists...kinda. i enjoyed it.
Because I Said So - okay i love love loved diane keaton cuz she is just so great. mandy moore is one of the best pop singers turned actresses and i think she is just a dear. she was lovely. i spent the first part of the movie trying to figure out who one of her love interests was (the actor, not the character), then i finally figured out it was the guy from "that thing you do!"...you know, shades? so that was cool. it was a cute chick flick.
