I post this every year or so to see who is a fellow smoker..doesnt matter either way ..i am just curious since alot of us theatre types do.

I can't stand the smell of cigarettes or cigars.

you'll have to get used to it if the role requires you to smoke. lol

Been here six years now and somehow never came across one of these. Glad I finally did and am able to share my input. Voted "never" in the poll. However, I do know many theatre artists who do. Memorably, several of the cast in a show I did once upon a time would have a smoking group outside the stage door leading up to call time. Always found it amusing.

I don't smoke, never have. It sure isn't a good idea if you're planning on keeping your looks -- something that any working actor should be mindful of. I've never seen a chain-smoker who aged well.

Whenever I've had to smoke onstage I just allowed the smoke to fill my mouth, and only pretending to inhale. And then I brushed my teeth right afterwards.

Smoking has everything against it. Affects skin and stains teeth, not to mention what it does to the lungs.
Older celebrities that look fantastic for their age typically don't smoke and are vegetarians of a sort.

And then there's the uncomfortable fact, and I quote:

Every year tobacco kills more Americans than did World War II — more than AIDS, cocaine, heroin, alcohol, vehicular accidents, homicide and suicide combined.

Once in a while, usually with a good beer. I must smoke the equivalent of one pack... every two year
