Hi all! I am auditioning for Johanna in a production of Sweeney Todd in about a month, and would love it if y'all could give me some advice on what songs to sing! I need 16 bars of a ballad and 16-32 bars of an uptempo for said audition. I'm just going to list off everything I am considering (even the ones I'm considering very lightly)- feel more than free to suggest other songs or give me advice for the ones I have listed!! Any advice at all will be very much appreciated

Inside Out- A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder
What Does He Want of Me- Man of La Mancha
Glitter and Be Gay- Candide

UPTEMPOS:
I Feel Pretty- West Side Story
Tonight- West Side Story
Watch What Happens- Newsies
I Could Have Danced All Night- My Fair Lady

I like "Much More" the best out of the ones you listed. However, it might be nice to do a Sondheim to prove that you can handle his music. I suggest either "That'll Show Him" from Forum or "Soon" from A Little Night Music.

And if you do a Sondheim, be sure to pick something that's not too hellish for the accompanist. "Soon" sounds like a good choice.
