I had no idea there was going to be a revival of Anything Goes! How exciting! It is definitely a favorite of mine. It was my first high school show and I played one of Reno's angels. I definitely think Sutton is going to rock that part!! I am hoping I can make it to NYC to see it.

I don't know the show very well, but I love her! I'd heard a rumor that she would only do new shows, so it's nice to know that's not true...

I don't 'get' Sutton Foster- she has been in a load of shows but is she really a 'star'?
There seems to be something missing to me.
So the prospect of seeing her headline this revival isn't as exciting as I wish it were.

I love her! I've only seen her live once (her cabaret-style tour), but she was spectacular. Even my mom, who had no interest in her beforehand, came out loving her.

To everyone I believe 35 and younger: Check out the Hiptix program. Great seats, pre-ordered for $20. This is for all Roundabout productions. It's really a great program.
In other news, I am very excited for this! I was wondering what Roundabout's big musical was going to be this year!

I love Sutton Foster, but I think she's a bit too young and ingenue looking to pull of Reno right now.
I can see her as a great Erma.

Agreed on the Erma thing, Dawn, but isn't it way too soon for another Anything Goes revival?

Yes, but the fact remains that Anything Goes has had two major revivals in the past 40 years. It doesn't need a third. There are other shows that have not even had one.

I've been saying for FOREVER that Sutton would be a great Reno Sweeney.
Maybe she is a bit too young though...hmm. We shall see, I suppose.
Exciting news!

I totally missed this. I suppose it's cause I was on vacation, without internet connection when it was announced. How exciting! I thought of Elliott when I heard, 'cause I knew he wanted this to happen. haha. Anything Goes definitely needed a revival, in my opinion. But Kathleen Marshall?? I too, thought Sutton was only interested in doing original shows? It's great that this marks a first for her since her big break. I can definitely see her in more revivals of classics.
