Would this be appropriate for a high school?
Would this musical be appropriate for a high school? I've heard yes, heard no.

There are sexual enuendos and some situations like that, however, a lot of high schools perform it. It was written in 1934 by Cole Porter in chaste America...it is not THAT bad.

It's an excellent choice for high schools... especially if you have good dancers. The show has some great characters (Reno, Moonface, Evelyn, Erma/Bonnie).

I think it is worth doing just to sing the title song, one of the best title songs ever written.

My high school did this show my freshman year and it was a great performance. There is nothing too crazy except for lyrics and choreography all depends on how you want the show to look. Good luck though if your school chooses this, its a really fantastic show.

A local high school did the show this year, and my school did it a few years ago, so I think it'll be fine.
