 Lilly's Age
I know there are other posts about character's ages, but I didn't find anything about Lilly. What would you say is her age range. I ask because I plan to use How Could I Ever Know for an Into the Woods audition. I wanted to make sure the age wasn't too old for me to play.

The script never gives her actual age, but we know she died either in childbirth or right after Colin was born, and he is 10. There are a lot of references to when she met Archie, but again, none give her age.
I would think she is 28 - 38.
But then again, is she still the age when she died, or has her ghost aged as Archie and Colin have aged?

she would be the same age as when she died, and I would estimate anywhere from 19-29, after all people married and had kids young then.

I agree, I took her age when she may have had Colin and added 10 years to it, not thinking about her not aging as a ghost.

You also have to keep in mind that Lily MUST look younger than whoever is playing Archilbald. Really, those two characters kind of have to bounce off of each other for age. If you have two great singers, one to play Archie, the other Lilly, and you like the guy better, the girl may be out just because she's older.
