Re: RENT photoshoot! Yea we took a different approach to RENT. Its more of a grunge rock star look, but we still portray the homelessness and their living conditions with the ensemble costumes and set

From left to right, Narrator (we added Cantonese narrators so that people who arnt fully fluent in English will still understand the show), Mark, Narrator, Maureen, Angel (not in drag yet), Mi Mi, and Rodger. Not all of the main cast was in the photo shoot. lol, yea we definitely went for a more modern and rock style to appeal to the Hong Kong audience.

Re: RENT photoshoot! I kinda like it. I'm totally sick of seeing Rent with the same old Mark and his stupid scarf. I don't really think Mimi fits it, physically at least.

Thanks! unfortunately not all of the main cast was in the shoot, but you can see more photos in the facebook link i put on the first post hahah i agree we were all found her look a little weird...but the costumes are still not finalized yet, im guessing that wont be mimi's costume cus it will be a little hard to sing "out tonight" and not have the wig catch on the fire in "light my candle" lol

Re: RENT photoshoot! Some thoughts:
-- Mark looks more like Roger.
-- Maureen looks more like Mimi.
-- Angel is fine as is.
-- The Narrators, if they must be a necessary device, should be dressed outside of the story and not interacting with the actual characters in their milieu. American values are way different from Shanghai, particularly with Angel in drag; should the government turn against the production, one wouldn't want Cantonese characters to be seen as condoning alien values. Make the separation more distinct.
-- Seriously, scrap the looks for Roger and Mimi and start over. I mean no offense, but as a viewer, it's like punk meets glam, and it looks terrible.
