I found out today that I am the part of Nancy in our high school production of Oliver! I am very excited and I thank anyone who gave me advice.

In my opinion, "It's a fine life" Is a great audition piece (I sang that and got Nancy) because you can really show off your cockney accent, and show the energy you have for the part. Dancing a bit while you're singing is a plus, not anything to flancy, just to go with what you're saying, but be sure to SMILE SMILE SMILE and make eyecontact with people, really interact with them. CONFIDENCE is a big thing too, even when waiting around for my turn to audition and afterwards, I held my head up high and interacted with the younger kids. Hehe, I just added that in just in case (I saw the director casting a few looks at me so I kinda had the idea)
