Post Oliver! Cold Readings?
Audition question for a youth community theater production of Oliver!:
What sections from the script are often used for cold readings?

entirely depends on the director..but i'd say for oliver or dodger..their first meeting is the only extended 2 person scene between the both and is often used.

Thank you! That's helpful. Was that true even for females auditioning, I wonder?

a possible scene for prospective Nancys is the Nancy/Bill/Fagin scene leading into the "fine life' reprise.

I am directing our schools production of Oliver atm and we used both scenes referenced above and the once between charlotte and noah since they didnt have long to practice it and its a nice short little scene with lots of opportunity for character acting
