It's Alan Rickman in the avatar. I'm not sure I'd want to see Higgins that's in his sixties, especially on film or TV.

Alan Rickman is an extremely sexy man and doesn't look 60. He could easily play to 50-something. Besides, his relationship with Liza is meant to be completely non sexual, so if the age difference is a little bigger, it doesn't matter.

Rex Harrison was only 48 when he first played Higgins.

Mama Rose: That's understandable, but then that's acting. I dunno, that may just be my minor obsession with Carey Mulligan talking.

And I can actually see Alan Rickman as Higgins. It's very different, but I think I'd like it.

Yeah, it's acting but... the actor still needs to be right for the role and have the right personality for the songs.

Besides, Carey Mulligan isn't a soprano.
