 Auditions for Music Man
My High School is doing Music Man for it's next musical. I would like to Audition for Mrs. Paroo. Any idea's on a song I could sing for said Audition?

Well, Mrs. Paroo only sings once outside of with the chorus. It's pretty much spoken, as well...but a lovely and fun part. I think you'll be judged more on your accent than your singing ability. She's Irish.

I agree Mrs. Paroo is all about the accent (and acting  ) and a little less about the singing.

But if you must sing, some songs that fit her character are almost anything of Mama Rose's from Gypsy (although I'd steer clear of Everything's Coming Up Roses, that's way overdone) or that section of Matchmaker, Matchmaker that Tzeitel sings when she's pretending to be Yente ( Hodel, oh Hodel, have I made a match for you. He's handsome, he's young. Alright, he's sixty-two...).
