 Joseph Gordon-Levitt Developing LSOH film
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-v ... ors-319976What do y'all think? Personally I've come to hold movie musicals in low regard. Plus I find it a bit counter-intuitive to have a heartthrob-y type play Seymour.

heart throb type???? he's the geek type to a 't'.
now..i dont really see him in the role though..and i see no need for a remake. the Frank Oz film was quite good..even f they did cut all of mushnick's musical material.

What? Wow, this is completely unexpected. To such a degree that it nearly doesn't make any sense. I'm interested to see where this project goes, but I do agree that there's no real need for a remake - the '86 film is pretty damn great. Sure, the screenplay was adapted to give Seymour a happy end, but all in all it's still exceptional, very true to tone and Audrey Two still looks amazing in 2012.
Would be great to see the right ending, but apparently that'll happen anyway when the "intended cut" of the film is released at the end of this year.

Re: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Developing LSOH film
After Rick Moranis' perfect to a tee portrayal of Seymour in the 86 movie, it's gonna be kinda hard to see any other actor play the role, let alone a "heart-throb-y" type.
Kinda hard to think of many "heart throb" actors who could really pull off Seymour's nerdy character. For some reason the only one that jumps out at me is Justin Timberlake.

I'm sceptical. I love love love love the '86 film, so a remake is concerning.

I think he would be perfect as Seymour.
