Once again, long run venues in musical theatre is not in my opinion the best option for the French audience.
Stage entertainment try to do that with musicals translated in French : Le Roi Lion (The Lion king) and Mamma Mia for example.
Usually, musicals are scheduled as National Tours, with several weeks for Paris, and a few days in each major cities around the country.

And then again, the Chatelet theatre is doing things differently !
Think opera productions : one or two months, major production. If it is a success, then the show is scheduled again 2 or 3 years later.
It was the case for their excellent "The Sound of Music" production.
Their "My Fair Lady" production (Staging by Robert Carsen himself !) just opened in St Petersburg's Mariinski Theatre... Musicals made just like operas are done !
