 Re: London Cast 2011/2012
As miffed as I am about stunt casting, I actually rather enjoyed that video.

 Re: London Cast 2011/2012
Are you sure? I was hoping that was just rumours. While I don't think that would be the worst thing in the world, I would really like them to cast a Marius who a) can ACT and b) is a strong, non-pop singer. Still, he does look like a Marius and he does have a nice voice...

 Re: London Cast 2011/2012
It's all still rumours, and the rumour is he's down to the final three, but his PR people have also denied he's doing it.

It's very interesting to follow this discussion about the new cast. It helped decide to go to London again BEFORE cast-change.

Alfie Boe is JvJ from the 23th june on, so Jonathan Williams will be JvJ at the 1st night with the new cast (20th june) or is Simon Bowman staying longer ?

I'm pretty sure Les Mis is closed for a couple of days while they make changes to the orchestra.

 Re: London Cast 2011/2012
Adam Linstead has announced on Twitter that he'll be repriesing his tour role of Grantaire in London http://twitter.com/adamlinstead/status/ ... 6899773440By the way I'm surprised no-one's posted about this already (everyone too busy watching Thaxton win an Olivier? )

 Re: London Cast 2011/2012
Well, it was certainly more exiting and surprising! But ah, that's nice. I thought he was good, it was just direction that irritated me when it came to Grantaire in the tour. But I'm a bit concerned that they'll just be recycling tour cast members in London. Madalena Alberto or Rosalind James for example...

 Re: London Cast 2011/2012
Apparently, Craig Mather has been cast as Marius. If you don't know who that is THAT'S GREAT. Because he's not a celebrity! (He also looks like he's about twelve, so I suppose we'll give up the hopes for a strong, tall, mature Marius.) Sooooo... Leaving: Simon Bowman Norm Lewis Martin Ball Killian Donnelly Samantha Barks Gareth Gates Lucie Jones Jeff Nicholson Chloe Hart Simon Shorten Martin Neely staying: Jonathan Williams as alternate Valjean Helen Owen Scott Garnham joining: Alfie Boe as Valjean (five months) Hadley Fraser as Javert Matt Lucas as Thénardier (three months) Craig Mather as Marius Adam Linstead as Grantaire ETA: Enjolras is still missing. Do you remember the Rhydian Roberts debates on here? Brilliance. I'm just waiting for him to announce he's going to join. He'd fit in just well, think about it: semi-well-known, was on X Factor, can do a small stint with Boe and Lucas and he's about as short as our new Valjean and Marius, too! After 2008 and 2010, maybe this is his year...! I've probably jinxed it now. I hope I'm joking.

 Re: London Cast 2011/2012
And he's a celebrity - of sorts. But seriously, if they cast Rhydian as Enjolras I'll consider coming back AFTER castchange.
