Didn't think so -- Thank you, though.

Anyone who's thinking of getting the Polish cast recording (and I recommend it, even if you don't speak the language, it's really good), spring for the expedited shipping. It took 2 months for mine to come. I thought it had gotten lost. Thankfully, this was not the case!

Sorry for the long wait, everyone! Been performing again, leaving a bit less Internet time. I updated the title post with a full index, linking directly to each album's entry and giving you a peak at entries to come, and I updated the CSR and TAC posts with additional releases and photographs. More to come within the next week or two!

You have an amazing collection!

Just wanted to add that there is a CD version of the "Five Outstanding Performances from "Les Misérables" EP from the CSR too.

If you want I can post a few pictures.

Amazing collection, Thom! Thank you so much for sharing it, and especially for the reviews. I'm astonished that you have a recording from my country, when I've been looking for it frantically in vain :)

Plus, it has to be said, that's a beautiful beast there, sitting on top of one of the CDs!

Of all these vast collection, which version is your absolute favourite, and which ones would you recommend as outstanding?

Hey Thom, did you spend your holidays listening to yet missing recordings? ;) Love to see this continued...all your work so far is greatly appreciated and it makes for a wonderful musical recordings thread second to none.

Hi there! Yeah, sorry. This is a case of life getting in the way of me putting in the time I feel is necessary to do these listings justice. Don't worry, I haven't forgotten. :)

Trust me, I understand what you mean by that, hehe.

You have NO idea how much I want to finish the entire show's backing tracks and sit in my comfy armchair and listen to John's glorious original orchs straight through, minus the wincing my God-awful mixing causes currently which is only acceptable because they are preview tracks. That means I won't be finished after I'm finished!!! Ahhhhh.

Hi
Can anyone answer a quick question? The CD of the Original London Cast that you can find in the shops at the moment here in the UK is a fat box and has a white cover similar to the Broadway CD. Is this the original master or the 1998 remastered version? (I prefer the unremastered version)

It's the 1998 remaster. Every time the OLC gets re-released I keep listening to know if that little two-bar snippet of "Give me that letter back!" is restored, to no avail.

Yes... a year ago I ordered what was listed as a copy of the original master off of Ebay... just to hear Patti say that one line... but they sent me the remastered version instead. :x
