 Re: Les Mis Movie
Anybody else find that absolutely HUGE Cosette face on the poster a little...creepy? It's like she's coming to get you or something.

 Re: Les Mis Movie
It is sort of creepy. It would be very entertaining to see some new creative Cosette drawings, like the ones which have been made for touring productions. But not as someone said to me, dressed as Wolverine.

 Re: Les Mis Movie
does somebody know if the movie will be synchronized in other languages? I usually love watching the original version but since I've first seen Les Mis in Germany I'd also be happy to watch it in German Phantom of the Opera was also well-synchronized with actual German musical-singers, I'd love that for Les Mis as well...

 Re: Les Mis Movie
Oh please not...even with subtitles as when Rent came out it would suck. I hate the idea of hearing Uwe Kröger singing Javert's lines while I see Russell Crowe...uuuuaaaaagh. But they probably go for it here anyways. Help...

 Re: Les Mis Movie
I'm afraid it would be difficult to attract french masses to see and hear "Les Misérables" in english... But I will see it in english anyway ! I'll have to see it twice (at least... )

 Re: Les Mis Movie
Here I am tryring to avoid spoilers but using google image search for "les mis hollywood bowl"...stupid me..why did I have to listen to it(great one btw except for audience noise). Combining Les mis and hollywood in one search. Ouch. But what did I find...some interesting stuff: Fan-made? But nice nonetheless. *puts on "24601" shirt* Aaron Tveit. His looks and expressions come close to Book!jolras IMO. That is one big red flag... F*** yeah furniture wall!

 Re: Les Mis Movie
I suppose I need to research this myself... and I know it doesn't really matter, I just have a hopeless taste for gossip, but...
On Youtube there's a rabid Taylor Swift fan enraged that she won't be Eponine, who claims:
(A) That she was cast in the role, that Tom Hooper really wanted her, but that CamMack demanded she be fired because the uproar on the internet scared him. and (B) That Eddie Redmayne was only cast as Marius because he had good chemistry with Taylor during the auditions.
Does anyone know if those claims are true or not?

 Re: Les Mis Movie
I saw a quote from an interview with Swift in which she expressed surprise that her friends kept congratulating her on being cast and she didn't know what they meant. It was along the lines of "What movie? What are you talking about" I don't think she was ever cast. She might have tried out but it was never a done deal as the internet claimed.
As for Redmayne, wouldn't it make sense that he'd be dropped if he was only cast because of his chemistry with Swift who ended up not being in the movie? And why would they want him to have a lot of chemistry with Swift anyway, Marius is in love with Cosette, not Eponine.
Mackintosh also doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who'd be scared by some internet uproar.

 Re: Les Mis Movie
Seriously, the man has made so many odd decisions the last few years, anything goes. I truly believe that.
Meaning, he could cast Cosette as a lavender eye-colored cyclops tomorrow and I wouldn't be at all surprised. Pissed, yes. Surprised...NAHH!!!
